Breaking down on a busy road is stressful. Breaking down on a dark road, in heavy rain or around a blind bend can quickly become life-threatening.
ALS Beacon™ Road is designed to give you a safer way to warn approaching traffic. Simply place up to ten compact beacons behind your vehicle at approximately 20-metre intervals, creating a highly visible warning corridor of up to 200 metres. This gives approaching drivers more time to recognise the hazard, slow down and react safely.
If a collision occurs and the beacons are disturbed or toppled, they are designed to automatically activate their high-visibility flashing lights and integrated audible alerts. At the same time, the system is designed to transmit precise GPS coordinates and incident information using satellite communications, helping ensure emergency alerts can be sent even in remote areas where conventional mobile networks may not be available.
Using satellite-enabled communications, ALS Beacon™ Air is designed to transmit GPS coordinates and emergency information beyond the coverage of conventional mobile networks, supporting rapid notification and more accurate incident location.
If the alert is not cancelled through the app, the system is designed to support notification of designated emergency contacts or compatible emergency response services, allowing responders to verify the situation and dispatch assistance where appropriate.
The flashing beacons remain highly visible, even in darkness, heavy rain, fog or poor weather, helping approaching motorists identify the incident from a much greater distance. Anyone stopping at the scene can also locate the incident more easily using the flashing lights and audible warning signals.
