When Every Minute Matters, Every Light Matters.
An emergency landing is only the beginning. Being found is what saves lives.
An aircraft emergency is one of the most challenging situations faced by search and rescue teams. In darkness, poor weather or rough seas, locating an aircraft or survivors can be extremely difficult, and every minute lost can reduce the chances of a successful rescue.
ALS Beacon™ Air is designed to improve visibility when an aircraft is forced to make an emergency landing or ditch at sea.
Compact emergency beacons can be rapidly deployed around the aircraft or life rafts, creating a highly visible illuminated safety perimeter. The flashing warning lights and integrated audible alerts help make the emergency location easier to identify, even during darkness, heavy rain or poor visibility.
the system is designed to transmit precise GPS coordinates and incident information using satellite communications, helping ensure emergency alerts can be sent even in remote areas where conventional mobile networks may not be available.
Using satellite-enabled communications, ALS Beacon™ Air is designed to transmit GPS coordinates and emergency information beyond the coverage of conventional mobile networks, supporting rapid notification and more accurate incident location.
As rescue aircraft, helicopters or vessels approach the incident, the illuminated beacon perimeter provides an additional visual reference, helping responders identify the emergency location more quickly in conditions where the aircraft itself may be difficult to see.
Whether over remote terrain or open water, ALS Beacon™ Air is designed to improve emergency visibility, assist search and rescue operations and help responders locate survivors when every second counts.
